How to bust that rust
Getting rid of rust, and of rust stains on your clothes, can be a bit of a bother. However, there are many home remedies that can help you remove rust.
Vinegar - one of the most common ways of removing rust. Soak the rusted item in a solution of vinegar, commonly available at grocery stores, leave for a while and wipe the rust off.
Baking soda - make a thick paste of basking soda and water. Apply on to the rusted item, leave for a bit and remove.
Citric acid - soak the rusted item in a solution of citric acid, leave for a while and wipe off.
Colas - citric acid is also found in most colas, and they might work just as well. Soak the rusted piece of metal in cola, leave for a while and wipe.
SALT & Lemon - to remove rust stains from clothes, lay that portion of cloth flat and pile salt on top of the stain. Squeeze lemon juice on to it till it's saturated. Let it stay that way for about 15-20 minutes, and then wash.
