This is a window to know Jaunsar Bawar area through Mairawna a typical Uttarakhand village. Evergreen forests on three sides, it experiences snowfall 2-3 times a year. 4th side leads to Dungyara Valley, divided by life-line Kuthnoi (Dungyara) river.
People here are simple, warm and peace loving. Mairawna is part of Bangaon Khat, a unique local governance system.
